Artefacts found during archaeological excavations on the Guildhall site. From the left – a pottery lion-jug, a Roman coin, a ‘Bellarmine’ jug (with a face applied to the front, originally that of Cardinal Bellarmine,) two pieces of plaster work, a mediaeval storage jar and the wood block used in the 18th century to print wool sacks with their identity.
